Why it's special
Every LAT flight simulator, and there are more than 45, has ben certified by the Luftfahrt Bundesamt (LBA), Germany’s aviation authority, to JAR-FCL1A specifications and reached the highest level, Level-D. Only these simulators reach the specifications for airline pilot training. Every LAT Simulator is an exact duplicate of an existing plane within Lufthansa’s fleet and resembles this plane perfectly.
The Munich-based A320 Full Flight Simulator is an exact copy of Lufthansa’s Airbus A320 with the registration D-AIPA. The high quality and exact representation of real aviation flight is rigorously maintained and checked yearly by the LBA.

How do we start?
Our briefings
How can 400 tons of metal and composite materials, filled with people, freight and fuel leave the ground and fly? Why is aviation, of all things, the safest way to travel? What are all the instruments for and what do which buttons do? All these questions - and more - are at the center our pilot’s briefings before you enter the cockpit. Afterwards you will know enough to start on your very first flight, or know how to handle this particular plane model. You will be able to steer, make the right choices in navigation, steering and landing the plane. You might even be very successful at your very first landing.
By the way: In our advanced level programs you will be able to have any possible aviation wish discussed and fulfilled later on during your flight. Be it a flight maneuver or a special situation.
